Fortescue becomes first major industrial company to endorse global movement for a fossil fuel treaty
Fortescue has formally endorsed the proposed Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty, an initiative committed to setting clear deadlines for the phase out of fossil fuels globally. It is the largest company globally and first major industrial business to endorse the initiative.

Fortescue's inaugural Innovation Grants funding sustainable solutions
Seven Pilbara initiatives including a traditional bush medicine ‘pharmacy’, the installation of green power solutions and a ‘Scoot ‘n’ Ride’ school upgrade project will share in A$123,000 of funding through Fortescue’s inaugural round of Innovation Grants.

The Roundtable was attended by Heads of State and Government, and leaders of international organisations and CEOs, including H.E. Mukhtar Babayev, COP29 President-Designate, Azerbaijan; Dr. Fatih Birol, Executive Director, IEA; Mr. Simon Stiell, Executive Secretary, UNFCCC; Mr. Selwin Hart, Special Adviser to the UNSG on Climate Action, and Ms Jennifer Morgan, State Secretary & Special Envoy for International Climate Action at the German Foreign Office.
