Employees and Contractors
This notice explains how Fortescue handles personal information for the audience described below. It supplements the Fortescue General Privacy Policy.
For Fortescue employees and individual contractors who have not received a separate employee or contractor privacy notice (and, where relevant, contingent workers engaged via service providers).

What we collect
- Identity and contact details; employment/engagement details; payroll and benefits information.
- Qualifications, training records, performance, attendance and travel information (where relevant).
- HSE-related information where required by law (e.g., fitness for work, incident reporting).
- Access, security and systems usage logs.
- References, due diligence background checks, verification results and right to work/visa information (where required by law).
Why we use it
- For our legitimate interests, including —
- Administer employment/engagement, pay and benefits.
- Plan resources and manage performance, training and compliance.
- Provide systems access, keep people and data safe, and manage facilities.
- Contract — to enter into or perform an employment contract or other contract with you.
- Consent — for example, where you allow publication of images.
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations (including workplace health and safety).
- To comply with our obligations under applicable anti-bribery laws and identify any potential conflicts of interests or risks associated with the job offer.
Where we get it
- Training, travel and benefits providers (where applicable).
- Internal systems and business records.
- Direct — from you and your managers.
Who we share it with
- Payroll, benefits and HR systems providers.
- Training and travel service providers (where applicable).
- Professional advisers.
- Regulators and law-enforcement agencies where required.
How long we keep it
We keep employment information in line with our retention schedules and legal obligations (for example, employment, health and safety, and tax requirements).
