Pilbara Power

Reliable renewable energy. Proven in the Pilbara.

We're building one of the world's largest inverter-based renewable energy networks to power our own operations. Now we're opening it to industry.

Access reliable, competitive renewable electricity and the infrastructure to deliver it.

What we do

We're extending the capability of our renewable energy network beyond our own operations.

Combining renewable generation, transmission and energy management infrastructure, it supports new industrial developments, supplements existing power supply and helps reduce reliance on on-site diesel and gas generation.

It's the next step in unlocking the value of the Green Grid for industry across the Pilbara.

Proven where it matters

We're building the Green Grid to power one of the world's largest iron ore operations.

Today, we remotely operate an integrated energy network across the Pilbara, incorporating renewable generation, battery storage and transmission infrastructure.

As the Green Grid expands, we're creating new opportunities to connect industry to infrastructure that's already operating across the region.

A shared opportunity

The Green Grid is being built to power our operations. Now it has the potential to power more.

By extending the Green Grid beyond Fortescue, we can reduce duplicated infrastructure, improve long-term energy economics and support new investment across the Pilbara.

The opportunity extends across mining, mineral processing, fertiliser production, desalination and emerging industries, strengthening the Pilbara through shared infrastructure and collaboration.

Let's power what's next

If you're planning a new project or exploring renewable power for an existing operation, let's start the conversation.
