Alta Copper

Alta Copper is now part of Fortescue
Alta Copper and its assets, including the Cañariaco Copper Project in northern Peru, are now 100 per cent owned by Fortescue through its wholly owned subsidiary Nascent Exploration Pty Ltd.
Alta Copper was a copper exploration and development company with a portfolio of assets in Peru, with Cañariaco comprising the Cañariaco Norte and Cañariaco Sur deposits and the Quebrada Verde prospect within an emerging porphyry copper corridor.
The acquisition supports Fortescue’s strategy to expand its exposure to copper as a critical material for global electrification and decarbonisation.
