Over 170 family members of Fortescue Metals Group (Fortescue) employees have celebrated National Families Week with a tour of Fortescue’s Port and Rail operations in Port Hedland.

Hosted by Port and Rail General Manager Fernando Pereira, the annual Fortescue Family Day gives team members the opportunity to provide their family and friends with a glimpse into their working lives.

Highlights of the day included a tour of Fortescue’s Rail and Port sites and lunch at Hamilton Village.

“Family is at the heart of Fortescue’s values and we were pleased to be able to join hundreds of thousands of people across Australia in celebrating National Families Week,” Mr Pereira said.

“Our Family Day allows our families to get a better understanding of life at Port and Rail and has become a highly anticipated event for everyone involved.”

The Port and Rail tour is one of several regular family tours that are conducted by Fortescue throughout the year at all its sites.
